Sad Day...

My Mom and Brother just left for the airport. I've never been so sad about them going home before. It's different when you have a child. I just want my baby girl to be near her Grandma and Uncle. I'm sad at the thought that the next time my mom will get to see Kailee will be in June, she'll be about 8 months by then! I guess Skype will have to do until then...

Christmas Eve Beach Day

Where else but in Hawaii can you go to the beach on Christmas Eve?
"Lucky we live Hawaii" is the saying. And yes we are lucky.

If we do end up staying in Hawaii I think we might make it a tradition to go to the beach on Christmas Eve.

Christmas time...

Oh Christmas time! I love this time of year. I do miss the cold weather and wearing layers. I am from SoCal so it was never really that cold. Hawaii is still warm, you can go to the beach on Christmas day in your bikini! lols So sometimes it doesn't feel like Christmas over here. Well anyways my Mom and little brother are here, which is sooo nice, since I've been homesick. It's great cause my Mom is cooking some delicious Filipino food. A couple days ago it was Palabok, a type of Filipino noodle dish, yesterday was Bangus which is a fried fish dish and today was my favorite! Bistek! It's this yummy beef dish w/ Shoyu and Calamansi juice! I am being spoiled!

A couple nights ago we all went to see the Honolulu City Lights. It was a bit chilly for Hawaii and Kailee wasn't dressed for it so we just did a quick stop. Here are a few pictures:

S.A.H.M. ??

S.A.H.M = Stay at Home Mom

Yes that's what I am! I thought I would be going back to work sometime in January, but I just can't leave my little baby. And plus, childcare is expensive! We're also probably moving by Oct 2010 so I think it's better for me to stay home and take care of Kailee.

It's completely new to me. Of course being a new mom but also not "working". I feel guilty almost, for not "working". I also feel kinda guilty when I spend our money, it's almost like I shouldn't be touching the money since I'm not making any anymore. I know I've gotta get these thoughts outta my head. I do get more things done than before. The house is cleaner than it's ever been and errands get done sooner. So I think it makes my husbands life a lot easier.

Well I'm not completely stopping working. I still am a Pure Romance consultant. I never had a lot of parties booked but since I can start doing them again I'm really gonna push it. I gotta get some parties booked. Parties are a ton of fun, and it really isn't working, it's more fun than anything. It would be nice to get out of the house and have "adult conversation" for a few hours. If anyone in the Honolulu area want to book a party please contact me. And if anyone would like to order something please go through my website: KristinaSwitzer.PureRomance.com

I also am open to do outcall massage. Probably a few clients a week. Oh yeah! I recently got my certification to teach Infant massage classes, so I'll be having a class sometime in January. So I guess I'll still be "working", just not the traditional 9 to 5.

Mmmm... My friend Nicole came over the other day and gave us some YUMMY fudge! She said it was super simple so I looked up the recipe and it's called Dummy Fudge. Yea it sure is simple and it is sooo tasty! I'm gonna try making some soon.

So here's the recipe: (courtesy of Paula Deen from the Food Network)

  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup pecans (any type of nut will work)

Butter a 9 by 9-inch baking dish

Melt chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, and condensed milk in double boiler on medium heat. Once smooth remove from heat. Add vanilla and nuts. Scoop into baking dish and chill in refrigerator until set for approximately 10 minutes.

This is the picture we used on our photo Christmas card. Isn't she the cutest?!

So I know it hasn't even been 6 weeks yest but gosh I'm a fat slob! Yuck! I'm still wearing my stretchy pants or my maternity pants... cuz nothing else fits. And Troy... yes I love him, but he's a fatty too! Here's us before:

Not too shabby!

And here's us after:

Hmmm... cute family pic? I don't think so. 1st of all my boobs are up to my neck! I try to keep the girls under control, but man its hard to find a top to wear nowadays! And that shirt my husband is wearing, it's on of the 4 shirts my husband alternates wearing cuz none of his other shirts fit anymore.

So I'm motivated... just gotta find time to workout. Him? Not so much. I try to motivate him but I don't think he's that motivated when he says, "yeah yeah, I know" and then I he's addicted to playing Modern Warfare:

Well anyways this post was just to vent... hopefully I'll have before "after" pictures in a few months. =)

Oooh! I'm so excited! We had our Christmas cards made the other day and it's oh so cute! We took a picture of Kailee and that's what's on the photo card. Can't tell you much more because I dont wanna ruin the surprise. After I've sent them all out then I'll post a pic of the card. ooOh the suspense! lols

So Troy (the hubby) has been sick for the past 2 days. Stuffy nose and grumpy attitude. And my poor baby Kailee has a stuffy nose too! He's been keeping his distance from her but she still got a little bit of a stuffy nose. I've been using that bulb syringe on her, sucking those boogies out!

I'm starting to get a little stuffy nose too, I better drink another "EmergenC".

I realized that I havent posted any pictures of my beautiful baby girl... I'm not just saying she's beautiful cuz I'm her mom, but she really is! lols Every one says she looks like my hubby Troy and I see it. But I dont see any of me in her, yet. She's got these crazy eyes! They are Greyish Blue, but sometimes they look Greyish Green. She has a little brownish green/hazel in the center. So we're curious to see what her eye color will end up being. Troy and I have dark brown eyes so it would be neat if she has "colored" eyes. So here's a recent pic of her:

She's looking at her daddy... aww so sweet.

Moby Wrap 100% cotton baby carrier... oh how I love thee!

I am in love with my Moby Wrap. I'm telling you it's the best baby carrier out there. I can go on and on about how I love it and how I think all moms should have one but better yet let me just direct you to my article that I published on Squidoo.com. Please take a look at it and tell me what you think or go and get your self a Moby Wrap 100% cotton baby carrier

Here's my article
Hello Hello... It's Sunday morning... I didn't get to sleep in today because the hubby "HAD" to go out to Mai Tais and watch the Colts vs Titans football game. He still has chores to do at home. For example there is a big Maytag dishwasher in the middle of my living room waiting to be installed. The kitchen is a mess because of this as well... ARGH! I'm not touching it, he's gotta do it!

I am excited though because I finished my 1st workout w/ my new EA Active workout game on the Wii. I've started the 30day challenge... it's on easy though but I'm not finding it as easy. I guess it's from not really working out for 9 months! But I have got to get my butt in gear! So we'll see how this goes.

So this Saturday is my 27th birthday. And guess what I get for my bday? My mother in law arrives that day... woop di doo! <---- sarcastic tone... lols So since Troys birthday was on Friday we'll be having a nice dinner sometime this week. we usually do something in the middle for our bdays. My mommy and little bro are coming the 17th. So at least they come to rescue me after 5 days with the MIL. I cant wait! Well better be going now, the little one is waking up!

Ready Set.... GO!

So here I go. Trying out this "blogging" thing. What am I thinking trying to start blogging with a 5 week old baby in my arms? Call me crazy! ( it's probably the lack of sleep that's clouded my judgement ).

Well I'm here and gonna give this a shot. Just gonna blog about everyday "adventures". Whether it be about my baby's poopie diaper, my husbands recent addiction to the video game Call of Duty Modern Warfare, or about my flabby post baby belly and how I'm gonna get rid of it.

A little bit about myself: I'm Kristina. Married to my (mostly) wonderful husband Troy for 4 yrs. We just had our beautiful baby girl Kailee Moon on Oct 30th. Her name is pronounced like "KYLEE" not "KAYLEE"! Think of the hospital Kaiser and how you pronounce that. Kai is Hawaiian for Sea/Ocean. So anyways... We live in Hawaii, beautiful!... yet very expensive. So we may move to "the mainland" at the end of next year. I'm a Licensed Massage Therapist and my husband is in the US Navy. I said I would go back to work in January... but I really don't want to go back to work... so that's still up for discussion later with the hubby. I do have a side business, I'm a Pure Romance consultant (I'll blog about that later). Well it's almost 10:30pm and Kailee is still up but looking like she'll drift to sleep soon. I better get going!
